What is a email mailing list?

A mailing list is a collection of email addresses which are assigned to a single name for faster reference. Mailing lists are extremely useful for individuals who send out lots of email to the same people on a consistent basis. Newsletters, notices, new products, information are many useful ways to use a mailing list.
