A mailing list lets you send one email to a single address and have it delivered to all subscribers on the list. cPanel includes Mailman for creating and managing mailing lists.
Create a mailing list in cPanel
Go to cPanel > Email > Mailing Lists. Enter a list name (e.g., "newsletter"), set a password, and click "Add Mailing List." You can then add subscribers and configure delivery options through the Mailman admin interface.

- Team communication - Send updates to all staff via one address
- Newsletters - Simple subscriber list for periodic updates
- Customer groups - Targeted messaging to specific customer segments
cPanel's Mailman works for small lists (under 500 subscribers). For larger lists or professional newsletters, use a dedicated service like Mailchimp, SendGrid, or Amazon SES. These handle deliverability, unsubscribes, and compliance automatically. For PHPList setup, see PHPList Throttling.
