Unable to log into Webmail

Email & Webmail | Updated 2026

If you cannot log into webmail at my.ultrawebhosting.com:2096, the most likely cause is a wrong password. Here is how to verify your credentials and get back into your email.

01. Verify Your Login Credentials

Webmail requires your full email address as the username (e.g., you@yourdomain.com) and the password that was set for that specific email account in cPanel.

Common mistakes:

  • Using your cPanel password - Unless you are logging into the master mail account, your email account has its own separate password. cPanel login and email login are different.
  • Using just the username - Enter the full email address, not just "john" without the domain.
  • Caps Lock on - Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • Saved browser password is outdated - If you recently changed the password, your browser may be auto-filling the old one. Clear saved passwords or type it manually.

02. Reset Your Email Password

  1. Log into cPanel at my.ultrawebhosting.com
  2. Go to Email > Email Accounts
  3. Find your account and click "Manage"
  4. Under "Security", enter a new password (use the Generate button for a strong one)
  5. Click "Update Email Settings"
  6. Try webmail again with the new password
Note

If you also use this email account in Outlook, Thunderbird, or on your phone, update the password there too. Otherwise, those clients will keep trying to connect with the old password and may trigger a firewall block on your IP.

03. IP Blocked by Firewall

If you entered the wrong password multiple times, the server firewall may have blocked your IP address. Signs of a block: you cannot load the webmail login page at all, or the page times out.

Use our Firewall Unblock tool to check and unblock yourself.

04. Browser Issues

If the password is correct but webmail still will not load:

  • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • Try an incognito/private window
  • Try a different browser
  • Disable browser extensions - Some ad blockers and privacy extensions interfere with webmail

Also see Webmail Access Denied if you are getting a specific "access denied" error.

Still Locked Out?

If you cannot access cPanel either, contact us and we will reset your credentials.

Quick Recap

  1. Use your full email address as the username
  2. Reset the password in cPanel - Email > Email Accounts > Manage
  3. Check for IP blocks - Failed logins trigger firewall protection
  4. Update password in all email clients after resetting to prevent re-blocking
  5. Try incognito mode if browser cache is causing issues
