Why Your Domain Shows the Ultra Web Hosting Default Page
If your domain name is showing a default Ultra Web Hosting page or a "website coming soon" placeholder instead of your website, there are a few common reasons for this.
1. No Website Files Uploaded Yet
The default page appears when the public_html folder does not contain your website files. Upload your website via FTP or through File Manager in cPanel. Make sure your main page is named index.html or index.php and placed directly inside the public_html folder, not in a subfolder.
2. DNS Has Not Propagated Yet
If you recently signed up or changed your nameservers, it can take up to 24 to 48 hours for DNS changes to propagate worldwide. During this time, some visitors may still see the old page or an error. You can check propagation status using a tool like whatsmydns.net.
3. Nameservers Not Pointed to Our Servers
Your domain must use our nameservers for your site to load from our servers. Check that your domain registrar has the nameservers set to the values provided in your welcome email. If you are unsure what they should be, check your client area at my.ultrawebhosting.com under your service details.
4. Browser Cache
Your browser may be showing a cached version of the default page. Try clearing your browser cache or opening the site in a private/incognito window.
5. SSL/HTTPS Redirect Issue
If your site loads fine on http:// but not on https://, your SSL certificate may not be installed yet. Log into cPanel and check the SSL/TLS section, or simply wait a few hours after account creation for the free Let’s Encrypt certificate to auto-install.
If your site still shows the default page after 48 hours, please open a support ticket and we will take a look.
