Webmail lets you check your email from any web browser without installing an app. Ultra Web Hosting includes three webmail clients with every account: Roundcube, Horde, and SquirrelMail. Here is how to access them.
Go to https://yourdomain.com/webmail in your browser (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name). You will be prompted to log in with your full email address and password.
01. How to Access Webmail
There are three ways to open webmail:
Option A: Domain URL
Type https://yourdomain.com/webmail in your browser. This is the easiest method and works for any email account on your domain.
Option B: Server URL
If your domain's DNS has not propagated yet, use the server hostname instead:
https://server.ultrawebhosting.com:2096
Replace server with your actual server name (shown in your welcome email).
Option C: Through cPanel
- Log into cPanel at
https://yourdomain.com/cpanel - Go to Email > Email Accounts
- Click "Check Email" next to the email address you want to access
- Select your webmail client (Roundcube is recommended)
02. Direct URL Access
You can bookmark direct URLs to skip the webmail selection screen:
- Roundcube:
https://yourdomain.com:2096/cpsess##########/3rdparty/roundcube/ - Horde:
https://yourdomain.com:2096/cpsess##########/horde/
The session token in the URL changes each login, so the simplest bookmark is just https://yourdomain.com/webmail which always works.
03. Which Webmail Client to Use
Roundcube
Modern interface, drag-and-drop, responsive design, built-in spell check, message threading, folder management. The best option for most users.
Horde
Feature-rich but dated interface. Includes calendar, tasks, and notes. Useful if you need PIM features without a desktop client. See importing/exporting email in Horde.
04. Cannot Access Webmail
If you cannot reach the webmail login page:
- Connection refused or timeout - your IP may be blocked by the firewall. Use our firewall unblock guide
- Access denied error - see Webmail Access Denied for common causes
- SSL certificate warning - if using the server hostname URL, the certificate may not match. Use your domain URL instead or see fixing SSL warnings
- IP address changed error - see IP address changed error
- Wrong password - reset your email password in cPanel > Email Accounts. Your email password is separate from your cPanel password
Webmail is great for quick access, but for daily use you may prefer a dedicated email client. See our setup guides for Outlook, iPhone/iPad, or Android.
