The "Error from park wrapper: Unable to find out which user owns the parked domain" error appears in cPanel when you try to park (alias) or manage a domain that has conflicting DNS entries or was previously set up on a different account on the same server.
The domain is already configured somewhere on the server
cPanel cannot park this domain because another account on the same server already has it configured as a domain, addon domain, or parked domain. The server cannot assign the same domain to two accounts.
01. How to Fix It
- Check if the domain exists on another account - If you have multiple cPanel accounts and the domain is set up on a different one, remove it from the other account first.
- The domain was recently moved - If you transferred the domain between cPanel accounts, the old configuration may not have been fully cleaned up. Open a support ticket and we can remove the stale entry.
- DNS zone conflict - The domain may have a DNS zone on the server from a previous account that was deleted. This requires server-side cleanup.
In most cases, this error requires our support team to resolve because it involves server-level DNS zone management that is not accessible from cPanel.
Getting This Error?
Open a ticket with the domain name and we will clear the conflicting entries on the server.
