01. Pricing and Billing

Are there any startup fees?

No. There are no startup fees, setup fees, or activation fees on our shared and reseller hosting plans. The price you see on the plan page is the price you pay. VPS and dedicated server plans may include a one-time setup fee, which is shown during checkout. Your account is provisioned automatically within minutes of payment.

Longer billing cycles come with a discount. Annual billing is the best value, typically saving 15-20% compared to monthly billing. You can change your billing cycle at any time from the client area.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with our service within the first 30 days of your initial signup, you can request a full refund of your hosting fees, no questions asked.

02. Payment Methods and Security

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

• Credit and debit cards - Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
• PayPal - linked PayPal account or PayPal balance

Credit card payments can be set up for automatic billing so your hosting renews without any action on your part. PayPal can also be configured for recurring payments through a PayPal subscription.

You can update your payment method at any time by logging into your client area and going to Billing > Payment Methods. If your credit card expires or changes, update it before your next renewal to avoid any interruption in service.

Is it safe to use my credit card on your website?

Yes. Your financial information is protected at every step of the ordering process.

SSL Encryption

Our entire website and billing portal at my.ultrawebhosting.com is secured with SSL/TLS encryption. You can verify this by looking for the padlock icon in your browser address bar and confirming the URL begins with https://. All data sent between your browser and our servers is encrypted and cannot be intercepted.

PCI-Compliant Payment Processing

Credit card transactions are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. Your full credit card number is never stored on our servers. The payment processor handles all sensitive card data in a secure, certified environment that meets the strictest industry standards.

Fraud Protection

Our billing system includes fraud detection measures to help protect both you and our business from unauthorized transactions. If a charge is ever made in error, our support team will work with you to resolve it promptly.

Your Privacy

04. Email

Can I check my email from the web?

Yes. You can check your email from anywhere in the world using Webmail. All you need is a web browser and an internet connection. No software installation is required.

Access Webmail at any of these URLs (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain):

• https://yourdomain.com/webmail
• https://yourdomain.com:2096
• Or from cPanel > Email Accounts > Check Email

Log in with your full email address and your email password. After logging in, you can choose from:

• Roundcube - a modern, full-featured webmail client with a clean interface. Recommended for most users
• Horde - an alternative webmail client with additional groupware features like calendars, tasks, and notes

Are there size limits to my mailbox?

Individual email mailboxes share your overall hosting account disk space. There is no hard per-mailbox cap by default, though we recommend keeping individual mailboxes under 2GB for optimal performance.

You can set individual mailbox size quotas through cPanel:

1. Log into cPanel
2. Navigate to Email Accounts
3. Click Manage next to the email account
4. Set the desired quota under Allocated Storage Space

There is no limit on the number of email accounts you can create.

Best Practices for Email Storage

• Use IMAP and clean up regularly - delete old emails and empty your Trash and Sent folders periodically
• Watch for large attachments - emails with large attachments consume disk space quickly. Consider using cloud storage links instead of attaching large files
• Monitor disk usage - check your overall account disk usage in cPanel to ensure email is not consuming a disproportionate amount of your hosting space
• Archive old email - if you need to keep old emails, download them to your local computer and remove them from the server

Email storage counts toward your overall hosting plan disk space allocation. 05. Domains

How do I purchase a domain name?

There are several ways to register a domain name with Ultra Web Hosting:

During Hosting Signup

The easiest way is to register your domain when you sign up for a hosting plan. During checkout you will be given the option to register a new domain or use one you already own. Enter the domain name you want and the system will check availability instantly.

From Your Client Area

If you already have a hosting account, you can register additional domain names by logging into my.ultrawebhosting.com and clicking Domains > Register a New Domain. Search for your desired domain, select the extension, and complete the purchase.

Available Extensions

We offer domain registration for a wide range of extensions including .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, .io, .tech, .store, .online, and many more.

What Comes With Your Domain

• Full DNS management through your client area
• Nameserver configuration
• Domain lock protection to prevent unauthorized transfers
• Easy renewal management with auto-renew options

Domain names are registered on a yearly basis and can be renewed each year through your client area.

If you already own a domain registered elsewhere, you don't need to transfer it to us. Just update the nameservers at your current registrar to:

ns1.ultranameservers.com
ns2.ultranameservers.com
ns3.ultranameservers.com

Your domain will then point to your Ultra hosting account. Domain transfers are also supported if you want to consolidate everything in one place.

06. Limits and Overages

What happens if I go over my bandwidth limit?

If your account reaches its bandwidth limit before the end of the billing cycle, your website will be temporarily suspended until the next billing period begins or until you upgrade your plan. We do not charge overage fees.

How Much Bandwidth Do I Need?

Most websites use very little bandwidth. A typical small business website or personal blog will use well under 10GB per month. Bandwidth usage increases with high visitor traffic volume, large file downloads (PDFs, software, media files), image-heavy pages without optimization, and video or audio streaming from your server.

Monitoring Your Bandwidth Usage

You can view your current bandwidth usage at any time by logging into cPanel. On the right-hand side of your cPanel dashboard, you will see a statistics section showing your current bandwidth usage for the month along with your allocated limit.

Need More Bandwidth?

If you are consistently approaching your bandwidth limit, you can upgrade to a higher hosting plan at any time through your client area. Our support team can also help you optimize your website to reduce bandwidth consumption, such as enabling image compression, implementing browser caching, or setting up Cloudflare CDN. For sites with predictable high traffic, consider a VPS or dedicated server.

07. Software and Tools

What website design software do you support?

Our hosting accounts work with virtually any website design software that can produce standard HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or PHP files. There is no restriction on which tool you use to build your site. Popular options include:

• WordPress - install through Softaculous in cPanel and use its visual editor or page builders like Elementor. See our WordPress Install Guide
• Visual Studio Code - free, powerful code editor for hand-coding HTML/CSS/JS
• Weebly - drag-and-drop builder included free with your hosting account
• Adobe Dreamweaver - professional web design IDE

• Frameworks - Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, and other PHP frameworks work on shared hosting

Simply build your site using whichever tool you prefer, then upload the files to your public_html folder via FTP or cPanel File Manager.
