Point my domain to my wix account

Pointing Your Domain to a Wix Account

If you want to use Wix for your website while keeping your domain registered through Ultra Web Hosting, you need to update your DNS records to point to Wix servers.

Option 1: Change Nameservers (Simplest)

Wix may ask you to change your nameservers entirely. You can do this through your client area under Domains > Manage Domain > Nameservers. Replace the current nameservers with the ones Wix provides. Note that this will point all DNS (including email) to Wix, so if you host email with us, use Option 2 instead.

Option 2: Update A Record and CNAME (Recommended)

This method lets you point your website to Wix while keeping email and other DNS records with us:

  1. Log into cPanel > Zone Editor
  2. Edit the A record for your domain (the one with just your domain name, no prefix) and change the IP to the one Wix provides
  3. Add or edit the CNAME record for www to point to the value Wix provides
  4. Add any TXT verification records Wix requires

Wix provides the exact DNS values you need in their domain connection wizard. If you need help making these changes, contact our support team with the DNS values from Wix and we will configure them for you.
