DNS Report Tools

DNS | Updated 2026

DNS report tools let you check your domain's DNS records, verify propagation, and diagnose email and website issues. Here are the tools we recommend and how to use them.

01. What to Check

  • A records - The IP address your domain points to. Should match your hosting server's IP.
  • MX records - Where email for your domain is delivered. Must point to the correct mail server.
  • NS records - Your nameservers. Should be ns1.ultranameservers.com, ns2.ultranameservers.com, ns3.ultranameservers.com if DNS is managed by us.
  • SPF / DKIM / DMARC - Email authentication records. See Email Authentication Guide.
  • Propagation status - Check if DNS changes have reached servers worldwide.

02. Other Useful Tools

  • cPanel Email Deliverability - Built-in SPF and DKIM checker under Email > Email Deliverability in cPanel
  • cPanel Email Deliverability - Built into cPanel under Email > Email Deliverability, checks SPF and DKIM for your domain

For troubleshooting DNS propagation issues, see DNS Changed But Site Not Showing.
