What URL should my users go to to get their webmail - I don't want them to log in to the control panel just to get their email

Email & Webmail | Updated 2026

You can access webmail for your hosting account from any browser without installing email software. There are several URLs that work, and you can share the simplest one with your users so they do not need to log into cPanel.

01. Direct Webmail Access (No cPanel Required)

The URLs above take your users straight to the webmail login screen. They do not need cPanel access, and they do not see any server management tools. They enter their full email address (e.g., john@yourdomain.com) and their email password, and they are taken directly to their inbox.

After logging in, they can choose between Roundcube (recommended, modern interface) or Horde (feature-rich with calendar and tasks).

02. Accessing Webmail via cPanel

If you are the account owner and already logged into cPanel:

  1. Go to Email > Email Accounts
  2. Click "Check Email" next to the account you want to access
  3. Select Roundcube or Horde

This method logs you in automatically without needing the email password.

03. Sharing Webmail Access With Your Team

For employees or team members who need email access but should not have cPanel access, give them the direct URL:

https://yourdomain.com:2096

Each person logs in with their own email address and password. They can only access their own mailbox. They cannot see other accounts, cPanel settings, or any server management tools.

Tip

For the best experience, we recommend Roundcube. It has a modern responsive design, works well on mobile browsers, supports drag-and-drop, and handles folder management intuitively. You can set it as the default webmail client in cPanel under Email > Webmail.

Prefer a Desktop or Mobile App?

Webmail is convenient for checking email on the go, but for daily use a dedicated email app is more efficient. See our setup guides for Outlook, iPhone/iPad, and Android.
